Ink can be bold or delicate, surprising or unforgiving, playful or precise. Together we will explore basic and advanced techniques for drawing/sketching with inks in this weekend workshop. You’ll discover traditional and modern strategies for using fluid inks with both pen and brush, try expressive hatching with dip pens and mechanical pens. Beginning both days in McGuffey’s Starnes studio/classroom and, after a short lunch break, we will likely work on location outside or nearby in the afternoon. Lots of feedback, helpful handouts, and demos.
