Drawing, An Introduction (Summer @ SVAC)
Drawing, An Introduction (Summer @ SVAC)
CLASS: Experience the challenges and the joys of drawing in this 6-week, Wednesday evening class. Introducing beginners to the basics with essential incremental steps for drawing confidently from observation (and imagination too). We will explore a small range of drawing materials include graphite pencil, conte’, pen & ink, and ink wash as we employ some of the very best traditional and contemporary drawing strategies. Loads of helpful handouts as well as group and personal feed back.
HEALTH & SAFETY: As there are no local or statewide health alerts at this time, neither SVAC nor I have any health requirements. We do ask that, If you are having active symptoms of a airborne communicable illness or have been in close contact with someone who does, that you please: 1) stay home for a week or 2) that you practice some mild social distancing in class that week and maybe bring and wear a mask.. (See missed class info below.)
MISSED CLASSES: Any of us may have to miss a class session because we all lead complex lives. If you are going to be out of class for personal, life, health or any other reason, please let me know ahead of time if you can. I may be able to set up a digital link (via Zoom, FaceTime, or Skype) to facilitate your virtual attendance. If that doesn’t prove possible or suit your situation, I can almost certainly record a video of the major class session activities (my demo, presentation, critiques, and/or photos of student work in progress, etc.) to send you.
