Ink can be bold or delicate, surprisingly playful and, with a bit of care and luck, extremely precise. Together we will explore using very traditional pen and ink techniques as well as more contemporary strategies to make bold and subtle images with ink in this five-week Pen and Ink class. We will absolutely use traditional black inks; We may also experiment with other colors of ink, multiple “old-school” and modern pens and likely try adding ink wash to our drawings! For beginners to advanced students who have at least a little experience with drawing (or painting). Lots of feedback, helpful handouts, and demos.
