Heading west un the Shenandoah Valley, I was climbing hills … edging closer to the Allegheny ridges. It was a hot, bright, and windy day and stopping in the shade of ancient trees led me to make this 5x7 (click on image to see a full view) ink and watercolor sketch on Archival paper.
