Some days just shout that it is time for a change of pace. At the end of a hectic fall semester, I had just such a day. So, as the last session of the last class wrapped up, I packed up my gear and prepared to leave the campus. As I stepped outside into the chilly December air at just pre-sunset, I was stopped by what I saw. Grabbing a fountain pen and a brush pen, I leaned again the corner of the building and stood very still to make this 5x11 ink sketch. I ignored the ever more beautifully glowing sky and concentrated on the sapling, weed, and brush that filled the field across the street.
