Here is a sketch of just a small part of a once grand old home in the coastal plain near the North Carolina-Virginia state line. The structure was choc-full of rich and ornate details so typical of that age. I spotted it when I had been driving for a long stretch and needed a break. Ink and watercolor over pencil.
